A few notes on safety

When dancing contact, everyone needs to look out for themselves, but
also everyone needs to be aware of the other dancers in the space.

It is most important to be aware of the backs of the legs and knees.
This is a sensitive area susceptable to serious injury if everyone is
not aware of themselves. There is more to successful contact than
skill or partnering ability, listening to your partner as well as the
movement in the dance space will allow you to find great inspiration
while also avoiding disaster.

Another thought is on gripping. Gripping and holding someone's wrist
or leg in a way that prevents them from moving freely is not only
potentially unsafe but blocks the movement conversation. Someone can't
explore the full range of possibilities if they are being held on to.
It is up to you as a dancer to convey your movement intentions with
your body rather than limiting your partner's body.

Just a few thoughts and concerns that needed to be addressed.

Be well everyone.

Thank you. Paldies.
